All members of the Everton Supporters’ Club – Midlands Area shall have the opportunity for advance reservations of seats on the Club’s coach travel at the advance booking rate, subject to the conditions within these Rules.

Advance reservation of seats for coach travel shall be made by notification to the appropriate Travel Secretary by 8.00 pm on the day, five days prior to the day of travel.

On booking in advance, name, membership number, pickup point, match and date must be clearly stated and enclosed with the correct remittance.

N.B. The Club cannot be held responsible if the above information is not given,

or is incorrect, should any mistake arise.

Non-members may book in advance for reservation of seats by notification to the appropriate Travel Secretary by 8.00 pm on the day, two days prior to the date of travel. Seats will only be allocated after 8.00 pm on the day five days prior to the date of travel. The non-member will then be informed if the booking is accepted and, if it is not, any monies paid will be refunded in full. This rule applies to non-members booking in advance.

Non-members travelling with the Club are subject to the Travel Rules and must abide by the Rules of the Club.

The Club shall make every effort to run coaches to as many matches as possible and to provide an advance booking service. This is, however, subject to there being the demand and the Club cannot be held responsible if, as a result of lack of demand, coach travel has to be cancelled.

The Club is not obliged to provide seats for any member or persons who have not booked in advance and the Club cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience that may occur from this.

In the event of coach travel having to be cancelled, the Club will take all reasonable steps to contact the members or persons who have booked in advance and will undertake to refund the amount paid or credit those involved for a further coach booking.

Any advance booking for home travel may be cancelled by notifying the Travel Secretary not later than 8.00 pm on the day, five days prior to the date of travel. The fare can then either be refunded or be allocated to a credit for another coach booking.

Any advance bookings for home travel cancelled after the stated time will be liable to a cancellation fee of 50% of the fare paid; the remaining 50% can be refunded. Any person who has booked in advance but does not turn up on the day is liable to a cancellation fee as stipulated above. The Travel Secretary, after giving consideration to the circumstances of any cancellation or failure to turn up on the day, will be allowed discretion as to whether to allow a full refund or credit.

Any advance bookings for away travel cancelled after a coach or minibus has been booked will be liable to a cancellation fee of 100% of the fare due unless someone else can be found to take that person’s place. Any person who has booked in advance but does not turn up on the day is liable to a cancellation fee as stipulated in this paragraph. The Travel Secretary, after giving consideration to the circumstances of any cancellation or failure to turn up on the day, will be allowed discretion as to whether to allow a full refund or credit.

Due to the number of cancellations during the 2017/18 season a 53-seater coach will be booked for weekend home games. Once that number has been reached a reserve list will be created for anyone else wishing to travel. Anyone who then cancels will be replaced from the reserve list in booking order. In these circumstances it may be possible to avoid the 50% cancellation fee at the discretion of the Travel Secretary.

Any person who drives Club transport (for example, a self-drive minibus) will not be charged for travel to that particular game.

Any person who has a credit may use this to book advance travel on future coaches subject to the adherence to the booking procedure as laid down in these Rules.

The Club reserves the right to cancel or amend without prior notice any travel arrangements should the circumstances be deemed necessary.

The Committee reserves the right to amend the minimum travel fare applicable should it be considered in the interests of the Club.

Any member who feels aggrieved at the application or intent of the Rules may appeal to the Committee in writing. The Committee will consider any complaint at the earliest opportunity and the member concerned shall be able to attend and informed in writing of the Committee’s decision. The decision of the Committee shall be binding.
